Interesting jungle trekking
The park is surrounded by green lush forest. And there are variety of trekking trails available for different stamina levels and ages. But most campers prefer a vacation camping rather than exploring the jungle. If you are adventurous, trekking and exploring the jungle should be in your checklist.
We follow the ATV road to head deep into the jungle. After around 15-minute walk, there is a hiking trail sign on our right. This is definitely an interesting and challenging trail for those who are looking for a vigorous workout. You can expect to go through a few obstacles including steep slopes, root climbing, rock climbing or muddy trails. For some part of the trail, we have to use hands to fight off branches and trees.
The trail was a bit slippery; leaches and mosquitos are among the hazards especially after rain. Many members of my team were bitten by leaches. They are not too dangerous or painful actually, they are just creepy.
Anyway, it is quite a pleasant experience with a feeling of satisfaction on completion when we can I find a way back to the campsite without turning back the previous track.

Exploring beautiful waterfall
Let’s fill your itinerary with an amazing experience of exploring the mystery waterfall hidden within the forest, sweep yourself into the cool water and enjoy the nature spa-like machine.
There are 2 parts of the waterfall; the first is a mild stream with water gushing over large boulders. Before reaching the waterfall, allow yourself to be distracted by the beautiful and chilling stream and the surroundings. Follow the stream to the end, the place offers a large wading pool and a beautiful waterfall providing you a perfect place to swim and relax. It is an easily accessible waterfall, we saw some small kids exploring the fall with their family.
The water is crystal clear, the fall is calmly flowing, the sun rays are shining through, everything creates a perfect nature masterpiece. You can climb up the rocks and pick a spot to chill.
Not many campers know the place, and most of them actually prefer to enjoy their weekend at the camp. If you want a refreshing experience, it is recommended to visit the fall.

Activities at the man-made lake
The man-made lake might be the main attraction for most camping families with range of fun activities. Below is the updated price in 4/2021.
- Kid hand paddle canoe: 10RM/15minutes
- Canoe: 10RM/15minutes
- Clear canoe: 15RM/15minutes
- Zumba double ride: 30RM/20minutes
- Donut ride: 30RM/15minutes
There are a few lifejackets available for children and those who can’t swim. Kids enjoy hand paddle boat activities, they can play there for hours. Besides, bikes are also available for a cycling adventure around the park.

Our Campsite Review – Event 1
Event site is suitable for big group and for those who love river view. We would prefer Event 1 rather than event 2 because there are a few cement floors in the event 1 which can be perfect for the dining spot.
- Event site is not as crowded as family site, it is likely in a private area.
- It is not really hot during daytime because there are many trees surrounded.
- There is a shallow stream in front of the campsite, you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere with calming sound of the flowing water and the sunrise at the backdrop in the early morning.
- At night, the area is quiet amidst the toads and buzzing crickets can be heard from afar.
- There is the café and toilet nearby
- There are a few spotlights at the corners. It is safe to walk around at night.
- The WC 3 is not properly clean and maintained.

Star rating for Resort Taman Eko Rimba Komanwel camping site:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Camping site: beautiful, safe, kid-friendly, near KL, many different activities at the campsite.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff: friendly and supportive, reply within 24h.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Facilities: there is café with limited options – it is walking distance to all campsites. There are plenty of bins located around the place. There are 3 toilets in the whole area, the WC 3 is not properly clean and maintained. I believe it will be maintained soon.
⭐⭐⭐ Price & information: the price/ information changes regularly. Before my trip, I have read some reviews on the internet, but it seems like there are a lot of changes within a few weeks. When I contact admins of the resort, the information is provided different from person to person which made me really confused. So, contact the resort directly for updated price and information, I believe there will be changes since the day I wrote this article.
Camping at Resort Taman Eko Rimba Komanwel park is a perfect weekend getaway spot promising relaxation, new experiences, and a tinge of romance. Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life and spend quality time with friends and family amidst nature surroundings.
